Agony Ride: Part 2
Now with Even More Agony!
I’m doing the Agony Ride again this year. It’s a 24-hour charity bike ride that raises money for Christian Encounter Ranch.
Last year, my goal was 375 miles. I somehow ended up riding 407 miles and raising about $1,700. So naturally, instead of learning my lesson, I’m doing it again.
This year I’m aiming for 425 miles and hoping to raise at least $3,000.
The ride supports Christian Encounter Ranch, which helps young people who have been through some really hard things: abuse, trauma, broken family situations, and other major life challenges. The Ranch gives them a safe place to heal, grow, continue their education, and start building a better future.
That’s what makes this ride matter. Yes, I’ll be out there all day and all night, probably questioning a lot of my life choices. But the real point is to help kids who need a chance to get back on solid ground.
You can support the ride with a flat donation or a per-mile pledge.
Every dollar goes directly to Christian Encounter Ranch and the young people they serve.
Thank you for considering a donation. Your support means a lot, and it will definitely help keep the pedals turning when I’m tired, cold, delirious, and wondering why I thought this was a good idea.

Kevin: Thank you for donating again this year, Bill! You are always so generous and I greatly appreciate you!
Kevin: Rick, thank you for your donation! It really means a lot for you to be a part of this.
Kevin, I am a friend of your father's. I will pray that you meet your goals and that our Lord will keep you and your fellow riders safe. Remember to focus on the Lord. When your legs are aching, ask the Lord to give you one more mile. When your lungs are burning, ask the Lord to give you one more mile. The Lord will give you strength, strength in control. He has brought you here and He will not forsake you. For He is with you, always.
Kevin: Daniel, I can't thank you enough for the generosity, the inspiring words of encouragement, and above all else, being a friend for my dad. He's a great guy and he has great friends!
Kevin: Thank you so much! I am so very grateful for your contribution.
Kevin, Proud of you for continuing to put your passion to great use. I love that you're going back for more and have an even further goal this year. Praying over you, that God would reveal Himself to you in such personal ways, and that you'd know every single day (riding or just in the every day) just how loved you are! Excited to follow you for another awesome ride! You're awesome. I believe in you, and I know many of us who are cheering you on and think the world of you! Kim
Kevin: Kim, you're amazing. Thank you for being you :) Yes, it feels great to help out others while doing what I love (riding bikes). I do have ambitious goals this year, but it's good to push yourself beyond your self-imposed limitations. The love and support from you and everyone else has meant so much to me, and I promise I will not forget it.
