  • Update - July 18, 2020, 1:30 a.m.

just a quick update. after a little bit of a set back this week. I am still planning on riding on the 24th and 25. I am planning on riding from Manteca to Sacramento then back to home. also planning on doing loops around the wayfair building in Lathrop that evening and into the night. this is a 2 mile loop very well lit. I will be doing this we several friends. I will post an exact map after we get it all mapped out. thanks for supporting me on this ride.

Dear friends and family,
I believe in the excellent programs of Christian Encounter Ministries and the work they are doing with young people aged 16 to 25—that’s why I am participating in this 24-hour Agony Ride. Please join me in raising funds to help this ministry.
I plan to ride my bicycle as far as I can in 24 hours from 1:00 PM Friday, July 24 until 1:00 PM Saturday, July 25 2016. The money raised will help young people who are enrolled in the residential discipleship and counseling program at Christian Encounter Ranch in Grass Valley, California, where they receive education, counseling, Bible study, and discipling, as well as training in life-skills. The Ranch has been helping kids since 1970 without receiving government funding.
Please be my partner and support this worthy cause with a per-mile or flat pledge. Maybe we can’t change the whole world, but together we can help some kids start over. All the money raised goes to this program, not just a small percentage. I provide my own equipment and transportation. Even though my weary body and sore muscles are not tax-deductible, your contribution is.
The ride is at 5,000 feet of elevation in the Sierra Valley, north of Lake Tahoe. It is always possible to have extreme temperatures, high winds, and inclement weather. I don’t know how far I can go, I am hoping for 300 miles but I will be happy with 250 miles. I rode 257 miles the last time I rode . . If you have any questions or want more information please feel free to call me at (209) 679-7537.
