Thank you all for the support on this event. I rode 180 miles. and we raised OVER $5000. A very meaningful weekend making new friends and pushing the physical limits. It was a great day for riding, except for some strong winds.

Four days till The Agony Ride. Last week end I attempted 100 miles in the Markleyville area. I cut it short riding 63 miles. I was with my son Joseph who did the whole ride and found himself riding in a hail storm over Ebbetts Pass.

The Agony ride is three weeks away. I have put in 2600 miles so far this year. Last month my mother in Law passed away at the age of 97. I took a week off during this time of transition including moving from our home of 17 years. Still in Rocklin riding the foothill backroads. Next week I head to Markleyville for some altitude training. Thank you for all who are supporting me on this ride benefiting the Christian Encounter Ranch. Please share with a friend. This will be fun event riding as many miles that my legs will travel in a 24 your period. Thank you for your prayers and generosity, John

Thank you for supporting foster Youth at Christian Encounter Ranch, My Mother in law celebrated her 97th birthday. My name is John Shanahan and I am the owner of Lighthouse Window Cleaning. Riding the Agony Ride allows me to push myself doing something I love while giving back to our communities. I have been cycling since high school including a trip across America in 1986. The agony ride is a new challenge for me with a goal of 200 miles in 24 hours. I look forward to riding with a purpose, raising resources to support foster youth in our communities. The ride takes place on July 26 , 27. Thank you for your support. I will be sure to keep you posted on my training and fundraising goals.

Many blessings,
John Shanahan
