I believe in the excellent programs of Christian Encounter Ministries and the work they are doing with young people aged 16 to 25--that's why I am participating in this 24-hour Agony Ride. Please join me in raising funds to help this ministry. I plan to ride my bicycle as far as I can in 24 hours from 1:00pm Friday, July 28th, until 1:00pm Saturday July 29th, 2019. The money raised will help young people who are enrolled in the residential discipleship and the counseling program at Christian Encounter Ranch in Grass Valley, California, where they receive education, counseling, Bible study, and disciplining, as well as training in life-skills. The Ranch has been helping kids since 1970 without receiving government funding. Please be my partner and support this worthy cause with a per-mile or flat pledge. Maybe we can"t change the whole world, but together we can help some kids start over. All the money raised goes to this program, not just a small percentage. I provide my own equipment and transportation. Even though my wear body and sore muscles are not tax-deductible, your contribution is. The ride is at 5,000 feet of elevation in the Sierra Valley, north of Lake Tahoe. It is always possible to have extreme temperatures, high winds, and inclement weather. I don't know how far I can go, but I am hoping for 400 miles or more. Thanks Daniel V Piper To make a pledge to support Daniel now, click the Sponsor Daniel button.
