Mission: Lake Tahoe! I had a wonderful and successful day riding Lake Tahoe! It is my longest ride so far, and I was very encouraged by how I felt on the ride. I almost slammed into a car that pulled out in front of me, but that aside, it was a beautiful experience. Honestly, besides some discomfort on the seat, I felt no pain! I could have made it a century ride if I wanted to, which gives me confidence for the event coming up next week. 300 miles baby!!

Training has been going pretty well. I am seeking wisdom from many who’ve done this ride before. One thing I must keep in mind is that this is a marathon and not a sprint. My tendency is to push hard and go fast, but I need to stay consistent. Therefore in my training, that means I do more frequent smaller rides than big rides spread out over the course of the week. From what I was told, this is a better form of training. Scheduling out the rides along with other things in my life is a challenge though, and I could use your prayer on that! Please be praying for me and my family as I continue to give my time and energy to this event!

I’m so grateful for all my sponsor’s so far! Thank you for your giving hearts, and your desire to see God’s kingdom advance in a powerful way. Training has been good so far. I’ve been doing 30 mile rides recently and Ive been feeling more comfortable as time goes on. It is dawning however, that it is only 1/10 of my goal!! Some friends and I are planning to do 100 miles next weekend in the Tahoe area. I might die haha, but we’ll see how that goes!

Recently, I ended up needing a new bike due to the fact that my first one was a bit too big. However a good friend of mine lent me his own and it has been perfect! Also, I have been able to get a helmet and gear, which has helped make my rides more comfortable. I am so blessed to be surrounded by support as I move forward in training. The main challenge I have now is to stick to a consistent regimen that will help me build up enough physical and mental endurance to hit 300 miles!

Dear Friends and Family,
Working these past two years at the ranch has been an absolute privilege and adventure! It is amazing to see how the Lord moves each day in the hearts of our students. My heart is so full being here! Last year I SAGed for the Agony Ride, and it was incredible to see the sacrifice the riders made for these students. Now, I get to be one of those riders! My prayer is for our students to witness the sacrificial love of Jesus in action. As I train, this isn’t just another physical challenge, but an opportunity to show them the love of God, who laid everything down for us! So I am asking you to prayerfully consider partnering with me in this new adventure, to help proclaim the worth and value Christ has for everyone of these young people. Thank you so much for joining me!
