A little about this ministry: CEM has been Tending Lives and Training Leaders since 1970. We work with young people ages 16-25 who have backgrounds of abuse, neglect, drug usage, family breakdown, and general turmoil. But for me it is much more than that. Many of you may know that I am a former student through this wonderful ministry. I cannot thank God enough for his divine plan to bring me here. The Ranch (as CEM is called) is family. A loving, caring, Christ-filled family. From the very first day that the food director picked me up from the airport to this day the staff at CEM have shown nothing but love for me. They have laughed with me, cried with me, prayed for me and they have shown me what it means to be a believer in Christ Jesus. It was at CEM that I became a Christian. My life was heading down a dangerous road (you know the wide one that many travel on) but I recognize through this ministry that I have meaning, purpose and I am going to do great things for the kingdom of God.
The students here are needing what I needed, a life turnaround and to encounter Christ. There is no better place to learn and grow, from the daily structure of bible study and devotional time, to the interns and staff who use their lives to pour into this ministry and the students. I am proud to be an alumni of this place more than any other. Please pray for these students and staff and others who love this ministry to help it keep going.
