To my Past and Future supporters of the Agony Ride,
Let me first say THANK YOU for the support you have given the past two years. I am asking you to support me but with a twist!
Unfortunately, the fall accident I experienced in 2008 is now causing several problems for me. This year I have seen an ankle specialist that recommends an ankle replacement, have been receiving shots in one knee that will need replacement and am now referred to a spine specialist for possible surgery to straighten my spine. All of this will prevent me from actually participating in the Agony ride this year. Since I still want to support the Ranch and don’t want my part to be missed in the bigger picture, I am asking that you pledge your support to my son Paul. Paul has ridden the Agony five times and has raised over $26,000.00 for the Ranch and, as he has done for the past two years, I expect him to ride at least 300 miles this year.
So here is the twist, if any of you sponsor Paul that would have sponsored me, I will match your donation dollar for dollar up to $5,000.00 this year. You will have the benefit of doubling your donation and the ranch benefits twice as much as they would have if I was simply riding, will you accept the challenge?
