Dear Friends and Family,
I am excited to engage in my 2nd year as a rider in the Agony bike ride that takes place in the Loyalton Valley near Truckee, CA( Sierra Mts) at an elevation of 5500ft. This annual ride is the main fundraiser for Christian Encounter Ministries, located in Grass Valley, CA, which cares for lost young people who have "dropped out" of life. This ministry helps them find their way back to a life of purpose and joy through providing a high school education, counseling, Bible study, work projects, outdoor adventures and a place to live 24/7 with a loving and supportive staff. For all of you dear people that supported this ministry last year, by sponsoring me, it was a joy to be a part of the Agony and to meet, first-hand, the students that are a part of and benefiting from this ministry . They were part of the many people that supported the riders during the 24 hours over which the ride took place.
Thank you to all who were able to support me last year-- I was grateful being able to benefit such an excellent ministry that is involved in young lives being transformed. This year, I am setting my goals a little higher and am asking, if you are able, to join me in this important fundraiser. I have set a goal of riding 150 miles in 24 hours and raising $2,000. The ride will take place the last Friday/Saturday in July.
